Highest and Lowest Birth Rates in Connecticut

Counting down the towns with the most and least babies born per capita over a 5-year period.

In the springtime spirit of rejuvenation, this week’s list counts down the 10 towns with the highest birth rates in the state over a 5-year average.

Though the birth rates are calculated per capita by population, the state’s largest towns and cities dominate the Top 10, with Groton (No. 5) claiming the least number of residents, 40,134, in that list.
