UNITED JEWISH CENTER RELIGIOUS SCHOOL REGISTRATION

 ,   Add to calendar
141 Deer Hill Ave Danbury CT 06810  See map

Registration for the UJC Religious School and Hebrew Department for September 2012 is in full swing.

The Sunday A.M. program is open to Preschool-Grade 6 and meets 9:00 A.M. –11:30 A.M.  The High School Program grades 8 –10 meets 11:10A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Sundays and includes brunch.

The pre-kindergarten class is offered to 3 - 4 year olds who participate in a creative Let’s Experience Judaism program.  Under the direction of Anat Schneider, the program uses an experiential approach to the Jewish festivals, the synagogue and the Torah.  The children use all five senses of sight, sound, taste, smell and touch to explore the entire synagogue, celebrate each of the festivals and begin their Torah studies.  Membership in the  synagogue is not required for pre-kindergarten.

K-6 classes have a variety of activities covering festivals, life cycle, Bible, Israel, and Jewish values.  The High School curriculum includes exploring Judaism, comparative religions, Jewish history, customs and ceremonies.  Local and out of town field trips, guest speakers and festival celebrations are an integral part of the program.

Mid-week Hebrew begins in Grade 2 with a highly successful Hebrew immersion program.  Children from grades 2 – 6 meet one afternoon a week and Grade 7 meets only 2 weekday afternoons (not Sundays).

For registration and further information, please contact Daryl Bain, Director of Education, at (203)-743-1180 or EdDir@UnitedJewishCenter.org

The short answer is because they want to. If you spent twice at much they still would. EducationRead More personnel need to be monitored on social media like Patch.

I will lend a hand by voting yes for the school budget this Tuesday, May 21st. Teachers should notRead More have to pay out of pocket for school supplies.

Interesting that representative Scribner fails to represent Brookfield's businesses choosing insteadRead More to focus on Ridgefields.

You certainly have a way with words. Why does it "suck"?
