When: Starts Wednesday, March 27, 2013, 4 p.m.
Description: Stew Leonard’s Danbury store is hosting its 10th annual Easter Egg Hunt Eggs-Travaganza. Children will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect eggs from costumed characters throughout the store, including Clover the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck among others.

Each egg contains prizes ranging from candy and board games to toys and gift cards. One lucky child will win the Egg Hunt’s top prize: $200 Toys R Us gift card!
After the Egg Hunt is complete, parents are invited to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny.

When: Thursday, March 28, 2013, 7:30 p.m.
Description: Observance of the Last Supper in a traditional tenebrae service of candlelight and scripture. With music from the Youth and Adult choirs.

Good Friday Ecumenical Cross Walk
Where: Congregational Church of Brookfield, 160 Whisconier Rd, Brookfield
When: Friday, March 29, 2013, 10 a.m.
Description: Join an ecumenical group of Brookfield churches in walking a symbolic “Stations of the Cross,” with scripture readings and prayer at various sites in Brookfield Center. The walk begins and ends at Congregational Church of Brookfield.

Easter Sunrise Service
Where: Weighart's Farm, 23 Whisconier Rd, Brookfield
When: Sunday, March 31, 2013, 6 a.m.
Description: In the tradition of the ancient Vigil of Easter Eve, this ecumenical worship begins in darkness and ends in daylight, bringing Christians together from all over town. Special offering will go to the Emergency Fund at Brookfield Social Services. Rev. Jennifer Whipple and other local pastors shares the Good News of Easter.

When: Sunday, March 31, 2013, 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Description: Rev. Jennifer Whipple on Luke 24:1-12 (the resurrection of the Christ). 10:30 service features Adult and Youth choirs. Church school children have an educational and fun Easter scavenger hunt at both services.
