The Sound of Music - Strudel featured before Saturday Evenings Show
The Saturday evening March 22nd performance of THE SOUND OF MUSIC at Brookfield High School will feature a delicious pre-show dessert of Strudel, Coffee Cake, Coffee and Tea in the BHS Cafe from 5-7pm. Only $5 per person! The show will start at 7:30.
Strudel is a type of layered pastry that commonly contains a sweet filling. Apple Strudel is one of the most popular. Strudel became popular in the 18th century and is most often associated with Austrian cuisine but is also a traditional pastry in the whole area of the former Austro-Hungarian empire. The Sound of Music takes place in and around Salzburg, Austria in the late 1930’s.
