Brookfield Students Graduate from D.A.R.E.

Our sixth grade students have spent the last twelve weeks of school working with Officer Dave of the

Brookfield Police Department learning the DARE curriculum. DARE is a nationally recognized program to

help students remain free from the influence of drugs and alcohol. This program emphasizes steps to

take to make good decisions in any trouble situation. Students role play as a means of practicing the

DARE decision making model. This model closely resembles what our faith tells us to do; stop, think,

pray, choose. The model encourages students to clearly think through the consequences of all possible

responses in order to choose wisely. Our students graduated from DARE on February 7.

Hi Meg, these are lovely articles, but I think you are posting in the wrong Brookfield Patch. This is Connecticut.
