Jeffrey Ryan Janofsky Earns His Eagle Award

Jeff Janofsky, a member of Boy Scout Troop 5 in Brookfield, received his Eagle award at a ceremony held on January 5, 2014 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield.   The Eagle Award is the highest rank given by the Boy Scouts of America.  The award is only presented to a scout who has attained the necessary merit badges, has demonstrated leadership within his troop, and has completed a very rigorous Eagle Project.  Jeff’s project involved the construction of a series of raised garden beds at Prince of Peace. The garden beds will allow the preschool students to plant and grow flowers and vegetables as a part of their curriculum, as well as to have the parish members plant a variety of vegetables to benefit the local food bank.  Jeff planned and managed the project, and it was completed with the help of Troop 5 scouts and leaders, along with family members and friends.

Jeff Janofsky is a graduate of Brookfield High School, Class of 2013 and was a member of the Varsity Swim Team for 4 years (which achieved 3 State Championships).
