Thank you to Brookfield for helping us find our Dog!

On Tuesday, 1/22, our family adopted a 7 year old female German Shepherd dog. About an hour later, she jumped out of our car and ran off up Route 7 toward 4-corners. My husband chased her and gradually gathered a group of good Samaritans who assisted him in "attempting" to capture her. She evaded us for more than 24 hours and was finally caught Wednesday around 6:30pm on Hop Brook Road. We had SO many people helping us over the course of that 24 hours - thank you to each and every one of you, including Brookfield PD, the Animal Control people, people who spotted her and called in, the guys on the TRAIN that stopped because she was laying on the tracks and they somehow saw her and ran after her (heart racing!) and the many many people on Hop Brook Rd and Kimberly Lane. We are very grateful to have our NEW pet at our home. Locked in. Tight. :) Having a great community means the world to us at a time when you question everyone's motives. Thank you Brookfield!

Its important the people learn how to treat our flag, many of our veterans have made the ultimateRead More sacrifice for our country and flag. Don't leave it out all night long, don't drag it on the ground while putting it up etc.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.

So Mandarin Chinese won't be a requirement? Perhaps Manchurin Chinese? Cantonese Chinese? MongolianRead More Chinese? Which Chinese are the British speaking these days? Their empire stretched in the Hindu speaking parts of Asia but they aren't teaching Hindu. A quandry indeed.
