Open Auditions for DIAL M FOR MURDER at Town Players

Town Players of Newtown announces auditions for its 2012 season opener, the thriller DIAL M FOR MURDER.

A scheming Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. Using blackmail to use the services of a scoundrel from his past, Tony plans the perfect murder and arranges his own brilliant alibi. But the plan goes awry when the murderer gets murdered and Margot survives. Tony schemes once again to have his wife framed for the crime – but will he succeed?

Written by Frederick Knott, DIAL M FOR MURDER was first presented onstage at the Westminster Theatre, London, on June 19, 1952. It was later adapted for the 1954 silver screen version by the one and only Alfred Hitchcock and starred Ray Milland, Grace Kelly and Robert Cummings.

Directed by Gene Golaszewski of Brookfield, DIAL M FOR MURDER calls for the talents of four men and one woman. Auditions will take place at the theater, 18 Orchard Hill Road in Newtown, on March 26 & 27 from 7:30 to 9 pm. No appointment is necessary. All roles are open, and auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

Rehearsals will begin at the end of March. The production run is Friday and Saturday evenings May 4 through the 26, with two Sunday matinees on May 13 & 20. Town Players is a non-profit community theater.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.

So Mandarin Chinese won't be a requirement? Perhaps Manchurin Chinese? Cantonese Chinese? MongolianRead More Chinese? Which Chinese are the British speaking these days? Their empire stretched in the Hindu speaking parts of Asia but they aren't teaching Hindu. A quandry indeed.

The short answer is because they want to. If you spent twice at much they still would. EducationRead More personnel need to be monitored on social media like Patch.
