After college Colvin worked as a flight attendant based on the east coast and flying in and out of Canada and New York primarily. She also worked at a cancer treatment center. She credits both jobs with rewarding her gregarious personality and helping her hone the customer service skills she relies on in her food business.

The culinary expertise has its basis in her family’s Southern cooking.

“I’ve been cooking since as long as I can remember, recipes of my mother and grandmother who grew up in Alabama and Mississippi. Pretty much my adaptation and love and passion for food started off with wings. I used to cook for household gatherings and parties. What used to be something small became something big. It started with a few then I would get more orders,” she related.

During high school Colvin got involved in an after school program through Future Business Leaders of America displaying her cooking talents at events and competitions

Locally the business is drawing customers thanks to social media and word-of-mouth. Super Bowl orders have been taken and new customers are urged to call soon with theirs.

The business caters to parties of 50 or less so small takeout orders are accomodated. Wings can be ordered in quantities of 20 (serves 8) to 100 and there is an array of sides that include macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes among items. There is also delivery.

Desserts Colvin makes include cheesecakes, tarts and tartlets, among choices.
