As part of our Valentine season here at Whisconier, we put a call out on our Facebook page asking for love poem submisissions. The winner was to receive a free Valentine arrangment, made with love by our designers, to be delivered in time with Cupid's arrow. Imagine our delight to read the submission below from our hands-down winner, renowned photographer, author and bon vivant Garry Burdick, of Southbury, CT.
SNOW
Snow fell, and the carefree wind scattered the air
releasing each flake
to a direction toward its quiet
landing.
Toward a tree,
onto a house or blanketing a path.
But the crystals I see among the
billions are the ones on your face —
on
your eyes — on your hair.
Flakes that do not melt but linger with
you.
As I come close — your lips are wet
for only here the snow is melting,
the heat so exquisite.

Thank you Garry! We only hope our flowers were as moving as your words!
