A letter of thanks to the Brookfield Republican Town Committee.

As Chairman of A Brookfield Party, I would like to thank the Brookfield Republican Town Committee for endorsing our candidates and helping our party get started.  While A Brookfield Party is an independent political party, we do not have the resources to put on a campaign that would allow us to introduce our candidates and their positions to the people of Brookfield.  Without your support, we would not be able to do this.  After meeting all of your candidates and evaluating their positions, we feel very comfortable cross-endorsing all of your candidates as well.

A Brookfield Party is an independent party made up of one candidate that has served Brookfield as a registered Republican in the past, another resident that has been a registered independent for the past thirty plus years and one new comer to the political arena that was formerly a registered Republican.  It is not our intention to recycle former Republicans, but to gain the support of independent thinking residents who choose not to align themselves with one of the major political parties.  Additionally our goal is to offer Brookfield voters a choice in who they elect to serve in office.  For far too many years, Brookfield has been limited to who they could select to represent them in public office.  Now they have a choice.  All three political parties in this election have candidates who are eligible to represent them.  Without your support, this would not have been a viable opportunity for the people of Brookfield.

As you are aware, due to our state's minority representation laws, Brookfield residents were forced to accept whatever candidate the minority party presented them with.  Too many times that meant that people were appointed to elected positions.  Candidates that were selected by a small minority, candidates that could not garner the votes required to win an election against an opponent.  This forced representation disenfranchises the vast number of independent voters who had no other choice.

A Brookfield Party recognizes that we are a minority party and are fighting a much bigger and better financed political organization.  We readily accept this challenge and look forward to giving the voters of Brookfield the opportunity to choose.

Thank you for giving myself, Jeff Rossi and Greg Beck the opportunity to represent the people of Brookfield.

Best Regards,
Rob Gianazza
