"I'm thrilled for the team," Brookfield coach Ed Butt said. "They showed a lot of character, bouncing back from the disappointment of last week and staying focused.  If you work hard and things fall your way, anything can and will happen." The relay victory was the only first …
Boys Basketball (6-6, 3-4): The Bobcats had to wait 10 days due to snow cancellations to take the court following their big win over Kolbe Cathedral last Tuesday and in the first half of their tough 50-47 loss to Newtown (7-6, 5-2), the rust showed as both teams struggled to find their shooting touch. Brookfield would hold a 21-18 lead going into halftime but was unable to come up with the win as the Nighthawks got hot and then held on in the final moments. "It's been difficult," Brookfield head coach Wayne Thrall said of having not played in a week and a half. "We've only sprinkled in three…
