The team at Brookfield Patch was at John’s Best Pizza in Shop Rite Plaza Saturday, meeting with readers, introducing Patch to some new people and raffling off a $75 gift certificate to the pizzeria.

Our lucky winner, picked at random from among those who signed up for our Daily, Weekly and/or Breaking newsletters, was Newtown resident Azad Hossain.

We met people from all over. From nearby towns — Danbury, Newtown, Bethel and others — nearby states — two women from Brewster, NY and a man from New Jersey — and one person from as far away as Utah. It was cold out there, but at least we had good company.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and especially those who brought items to donate to the Brookfield Food Pantry.
