Video Production Internship at CTV-21

CommunityVision 21 is offering a winter internship open to all area residents.

CommunityVision 21 is offering community members the chance to learn TV production through a free Video Production Internship. This is an 18-week, 50-hour training program that teaches participants all aspects of video production: Studio and mobile truck productions, field equipment and editing, lighting and audio. You don’t need an idea, just the desire to participate, learn and help others produce local programming.

The community television facilities of Charter Communications are available free to all residents of the Charter service area.

All residents of Charter Communications franchise area at least 17 years of age are encouraged to apply. While it is possible for students to take this for credit, you do not need to be a student to participate.

The winter internship session is set to begin in February and space is limited. In order to participate, community members must contact the offices of CTV-21 and fill out an application.

There is also limited space available for residents who live outside the Charter service area on a first-come first-served basis.

Graduates are presented with a certificate at a graduation ceremony and given the opportunity to create a resume tape of their work.

For more information on this opportunity, please contact CommunityVision 21 at 203-304-4050 or visit us on the web.

I just want to add that this is a very flexible training program with classes scheduled evenings and Saturdays with a low hourly commitment. It is empowering, fun, and allows you to put a spotlight on something in your community.
