Police Blotter: Shoplifting Disturbance Closes Section of Costco

Brookfield Police were dispatched to a fight at Costco at 5:38 p.m. involving Nicholas Larsen, 30, of Danbury, who allegedly was attempting to steal an item, and a loss prevention employee. Larsen allegedly resisted Costco employees and police upon their arrival. The incident caused a disturbance, closing a small section of the store for a short time.

Larsen was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery in the second degree, larceny in the sixth: shoplifting, breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with an officer: non-assaultive. Bond was set at $10,000 for a court date in Danbury Superior Court on March 1.
