Iowans Spoke, Where Do You Stand? [Poll]

Television sets were turned on late to watch the results of the Republican caucus in Iowa. But what if the caucus was held in Brookfield?

By the slimmest of margins, Mitt Romney won the Iowa Republican Caucus and now moves on to New Hampshire.

Rather than wait for the April 24 primary in Connecticut, here's a poll to gauge the interest in Brookfield.

Incidentally, Democrats and minority party members only have until January 24 to switch their party affiliation and be eligible to vote in the Republican primary, according to the registrar of voters' office. Unaffiliated voters, however, can make the switch as late as April 23.

What's most significant about the Iowa Caucus is the way the media is reporting it. The media seems very eager to report on who they consider to be serious front runners. Romney and Gingrich, Perry and Santorum. Ron Paul is almost an after thought in media reporting. It's too early to predict a clear front runner for November, yet Ron Paul represents a candidate that is dismissed as out of the main stream. He's definitely not politics as usual. Perhaps if he was covered more accurately instead of being portrayed as an oddity and a kook, some aspects of his message would resonate with many more Americans. I'm keeping an open mind, there's a long way to go before we get to November.
