Grab & Go: Kids Day, Relay for Life
Five family activities to add to your weekend calendar.
From Kid's Day at the Fire Department, to Relay for Life at Brookfield High School, there's a diverse selection of family activities to choose from this weekend.
- Head out to hear the vocal talents of the Brookfield High School Chorus. They will be performing on Thursday, June 2, at 7 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium.
- Join the fun at Brookfield's 4th annual Relay For Life at the BHS track beginning on Friday, June 3, at 6 p.m. Create or join a team in helping to find a cure for cancer. Enjoy the entertainment or participate in the games. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. but is open to the public until 11 p.m. Friday evening. For more information, see the Relay for Life website.
- Cupcakes & Milkshakes in Bethel will host a free Teens & Tweens Karaoke Night on Friday, June 3, from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. RSVP: 203-616-5329.
- Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company's Kids Day will be held on Sunday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. at 92 Pocono Road. See and ride the trucks, learn fire safety basics and enjoy face painting and refreshments.
- Sunday, June 5, is National Trails Day. Celebrate at the Pratt Nature Center in New Milford with a hike to the top of Mt. Tom or a nature walk around the lower field and the East Aspetuck River. All ages and skill levels are welcome to this free event. Hikes begin at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
