A Trip to Brookfield Craft Center

Between the drizzling raindrops, 47 members of Marble Hill Senior Center in Bronx, NY visited Brookfield Craft Center Wednesday afternoon, October 12.

The bus tour took a leisurely drive to Brookfield to take in the changing leaves of southern New England and dine at Down the Hatch before the restaurant closes its season.
Many excited participants in Marble Hill’s arts program watched with joy and fascination as faculty and board member Buster Shaw demonstrated woodturning in Brookfield Craft Center’s Railroad Building studio.
Other visitors spent time in the gallery and gift shop, admiring work by local and regional artists and describing their personal admirations of fine craftsmanship.
