Friday night, the newly opened The Room will be host to DeeStar, The Dalliance, Cube, Actions Like Melodies and Echo III. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.

On Saturday morning, the school budget roundtable originally scheduled for January 8, was rescheduled due to snow. This time around the snow was kind enough to come early.
Residents are encouraged to come to Brookfield High School (BHS) at 9 a.m. Saturday to hear about the Superintendent’s proposed budget and offer input before the Board of Education (BOE) votes to send it to the Board of Selectmen (BOS).

When you’re done shoveling out from the latest layer of snow, head to Yoga Space from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a class by Kripalu Yoga teacher Doug Greene, who will teach proven techniques to safely relieve back pain.
The class is $25 is you preregister. Beginners welcome.

And on Saturday afternoon, come out to root for the 6-1 BBD (Bethel-Brookfield-Danbury) hockey team at their home game against Hall-Southington at Danbury Ice Arena. Face off is scheduled for 4:20 p.m.

On Sunday, brides-to-be can go back to Danbury for the Bridal Faire at Anthony’s Lake Club (10 Christopher Columbus Ave.) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Play the ultimate game show challenge or enter to win door prizes, which will be awarded throughout the day. Admission is free.
