The Brookfield Food Pantry takes part in a national program called “Plant a Row For the Hungry.”
Launched in 1995, Plant A Row is a public service program of the Garden Writers Association and the GWA Foundation.
Garden writers are asked to encourage their readers/listeners to plant an extra row of produce each year and donate their surplus to local food banks, soup kitchens and service organizations to help feed America’s hungry. This is a wonderful program that enables us to give out fresh produce that would otherwise be too expensive to provide.
If you have a garden and can spare any produce please contact the pantry at brookfieldfoodpantry@gmail.com for more information.
If you would like to know our current needs or more information on the pantry you can find us on facebook at Brookfield, CT Food Pantry.
Thank you for your support!
