The Brookfield Lacrosse Club is sponsoring its inaugural Summer Lacrosse Camp for girls entering grades two through eight right here in town at Brookfield High School.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, August 1, through Thursday, August 4 (rain date Friday, August 5). It is being led by Francesca DeLorenzo, head women's lax coach at Mercy College, who played lacrosse for Division I Marist College, where she was a starting mid-fielder for three years.

The four-day fun-filled camp will help players work on skills and develop a better understanding of the game.
